Annual Remote Boat Races

Our second annual Boat Regatta, held Saturday, May 20, 2006, proved to be another success for us at SMR. Our electric boat racing competion drew in over 75 participants. The weather was great and made for a fun and sunny day at the pond! Participants and spectators alike enjoyed plenty of action, while our Senior Group Home Coordinator stayed busy barbequing.

Along with keeping up with the boat racing action, Executive Director Rick Taylor and Human Resources Director Stephen Moody planted over 600 trout! Plenty of action should get underway for our annual Fishing Derby set for August, 2006.

Thanks to all who spent their Saturday with us at the pond, and we hope to reunite for our Fishing Derby, set for Saturday, August 12, from 10:00am- noon!
